1.) Measuring tapes:
To meet the demands of every day use the measuring tape must satisfy requirements of materials, finishing and measuring accuracy. The casings are made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and are ultra-sonically welded after assembly. This ensures high, durable quality with a low weight. In addition the casings can be high-quality sieve or tampon printed.
The meterex steel tapes are available in practically all versions with either metric (m) or metric-English (mm / inch) scaling. For measuring circumferences and diameters (Pi-scaling) there is the Diaflex model. The steel tape measures with metric scaling conform with the EU construction approval class II or class III.
The consequently obligatory tolerances of the EU accuracy class II are: 2 m = +/- 0.7 mm, 3 m = +/- 0.9 mm, 5 m = +/- 1.3 mm. White baked enamel meterex steel tapes are printed in two colours. (black scaling and red figures). In addition the tapes are protected against abrasion with a transparent varnish finish.
Also available are models with PVC taped strengthened with fibre glass (Rolloflex
10 – 50 m) or fabric tapes with plastic coating (Bodyflex, Bodytec,
Rubby, Mirror, and Novaflex). These conform with the EU accuracy class III.
2.) folding rules
The wooden folding rules are manufactured from dried beech wood. The segments are connected either with steel or plastic joints and dip-coated white or blue. The duplex scaling in red for every ten figures ensures easy and exact measuring.
All wooden folding rules can be printed with advertising texts on the upper
side as well as on the first and last segments (free strips).
The folding rules made of fibre-glass strengthened plastic are extremely stable
and resistant to breakage. Thus gives them a very long life. The black duplex
scaling is either embossed or printed. Due to the compactly folded segments,
even small and fine printed pictures or motives can be shown well on the upper
side.
All folding rules, both wooden and plastic, conform with the EU accuracy
class III requirements.
3.) Spirit levels
All spirit levels made of wood or aluminium with lengths from 30 cm have horizontal and vertical bubbles encased in breakage-resistant plexiglass and precisely set. Thanks to a measuring accuracy of 1 mm to 1 m = 0.057° they are suitable for all professional levelling work. The bubble casing of all aluminium spirit levels carry a guarantee of 7 years.
